Multiracial America; a resource guide on the history and literature of interracial issues

Reference & Research Book News

Downing, Nichols, and Webster (all library specialists from the U. of Michigan) offer a compilation of books, articles, websites, documentaries, films, and videos to help researchers more easily locate information on interracial issues. The annotated listings are thematically grouped into chapters on "hot button" issues, core historical literature, politics, dating and marriage, families, adoption, books for children and young adults, identity development, race and queer sexuality, and American motion pictures. The text also includes general information on teaching an interracial issues course, a sample full syllabus and reading list of a course on interracial issues taught by a sociology professor at the U. of Michigan, library research aids, and a glossary of terms.
